Tree Hugger Camping Light

This model was made as part of a group project while in second year at university. Given the task of creating an innovative product using solar panels and 10 LEDs, this camping light was produced.

Charging the batteries through the day by hanging the key-ring on clothes or bag, they are then used to power the light strip. This strip is made with the snap band technology meaning it can wrap around trees for lighting an area or stay as a straight, rigid strip and hung in a tent for a more localised light.

The model was made with Holly Dixon and William Findlay.
